


Start Zenbev at a low dose of one scoop per night for three nights. Mix with warm water or your favorite non-caffeinated beverage. For those who are avoiding liquids before bed, mix with applesauce or in fruit yoghurt. Take one half hour before bedtime and do something calming and relaxing (i.e. not mentally stimulating) before retiring to bed. After three nights, increase the dosage one scoop at a time; allow three more nights to achieve the desired effect. Two scoops are usually sufficient for most people, however some individuals require more.
Individual requirements are not directly associated with Body Mass, i.e. a heavy person does not naturally need more Zenbev as a light person. This is because each person's biochemistry is different. It usually takes a few doses before Zenbev's optimal benefit is seen, and it continues to work for a few days/nights after it was last taken.
One way of optimizing this benefit is to take Zenbev for 5-7 days/nights and then stop it for 2-3 days/nights before resuming again in a similar pattern. Zenbev can also be taken safely on a daily basis.
As Zenbev needs the dark to metabolise into melatonin, it may not work efficiently
if the room you are sleeping in is not totally dark. In this case, try
to keep out as much light (and even noise) as you can and wear a sleep
mask.
There is no need to take more than four scoops, as at that stage you are
providing your body with enough tryptophan to get the required effect.
If you feel you
are not achieving desired results, make sure you are taking a B-complex multivitamin
as tryptophan will metabolize to vitamin B3 if your body is deficient. During
periods of stress, our bodies use more Vitamin B, so it may be the case that
you are deficient and Zenbev won’t do the job because of that.
